About The Position

We are seeking a dependable, organized, and patient-focused Imaging Patient Coordinator to support a mobile mammography screening program in Illinois. This is a non-clinical administrative position that will work closely with the Mammography Technologist and other members of the healthcare team. The coordinator will help manage patient check-in, appointment scheduling, paperwork, records, communication, and daily patient flow so the Mammography Technologist can remain focused on patient care and imaging responsibilities. The ideal candidate is professional, welcoming, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with patients.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Comfortable working directly with patients and handling confidential information.
  • Strong communication, customer-service, and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to report to assigned screening locations within Springfield/Sangamon County and Champaign-Urbana.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous administrative, medical front-desk, patient scheduling, or customer-service experience preferred.
  • Healthcare, medical office, radiology, imaging center, hospital, or outpatient experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients, assist with check-in, and verify basic patient information.
  • Provide registration, consent, screening, and medical history forms and review them for completeness.
  • Assist with appointment scheduling, confirmations, cancellations, and schedule updates.
  • Help maintain an organized and efficient patient flow throughout the day.
  • Answer patient questions related to scheduling and visit logistics and route clinical questions to the appropriate team member.
  • Maintain, scan, upload, and organize patient records and administrative documents as needed.
  • Support the Mammography Technologist with non-clinical administrative tasks and daily preparation.
  • Maintain patient privacy, confidentiality, and HIPAA requirements while helping create a professional and welcoming environment.
