This is a part-time position within the Weekend Program for the CT department, requiring coverage on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. An additional 8-hour variable shift during the week is also required, with flexible start times to support multiple modalities. The role involves patient transport, assisting with exam preparation, maintaining exam rooms, and acting as a liaison between medical staff. The position requires the ability to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development principles. Key responsibilities include transporting patients, using radiology computer systems, assisting patients with exam preparation and transfers, providing basic instructions, organizing and stocking exam rooms, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and maintaining health information records. The role also involves routine maintenance of imaging equipment and assisting with MRI implant screening. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills, along with intermediate computer proficiency. They must be able to follow directions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The role involves significant physical activity, including sitting, standing, walking, lifting, squatting, bending, twisting, and reaching. Potential hazards include mechanical, radiation, and electrical exposure, as well as blood and body fluids, requiring the use of protective clothing.
