About The Position

The University of Mary Washington has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Night & Weekend Program Assistant. The primary responsibilities of the Program Assistant are to oversee the planning and implementation of many night and weekend programs and initiatives that SAE sponsors and/or supports. This role requires the Program Assistant to be available to work during regular office hours and to be on-site for programming during evening and weekend hours. The Program Assistant is required to live in UMW provided housing due to the late-night and weekend programming requirements, as well as to serve as a member of the University's crisis response team through a rotating on-call schedule.

Requirements

Knowledge of general student involvement policies.
Ability to work during regular office hours (8:00AM-5:00PM).
Ability to be on-site for programming during evening and weekend hours.
Candidates are expected to comply with all required University and program application processes.
Prior event planning experience.
Experience in student event programming.
Experience in mentoring or advising members of a campus student community.
Bachelor's degree in appropriate area of specialization.
Must possess a valid Driver’s License to operate a University/state owned or leased vehicle.
