About The Position

This role involves preparing examination rooms, assisting technologists and physicians during diagnostic imaging procedures, transporting patients, preparing contrast media and medications, providing patient comfort care, and maintaining documentation and cleanliness of rooms. The intern will work in the General Radiology department at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo, IN.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High school diploma equivalency OR Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline required.

Responsibilities

Prepared examination rooms and assisted supervising technologists and physicians during various diagnostic imaging procedures to optimize clinical workflow.
Transported and safely transferred patients between wheelchairs, stretchers, and radiographic tables utilizing proper body mechanics to ensure patient safety.
Prepared contrast media and medications precisely as directed by supervising technologists, strictly adhering to safety and dosing protocols.
Provided compassionate comfort care and guidance to patients throughout the imaging process, effectively minimizing anxiety and improving the patient experience.
Executed accurate paper and digital workflow documentation while maintaining rigorous cleanliness, safety, and organization across all procedure and dressing rooms.
