About The Position

This role is for an Imaging Intern at Ascension St. Francis Hospital in the Diagnostic Radiology department. The intern will work PRN with rotation shifts. The intern will be responsible for delivering precision imaging by expertly positioning patients and selecting accurate technical factors to ensure high-diagnostic clarity on every scan. They will also prioritize safety by applying radiation protection protocols, partner with physicians and lead technologists during specialized imaging procedures, safely prepare and administer contrast media and medications, and maintain a clean and stocked procedure environment.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High school diploma/GED required.
Enrolled in degreed program specific to discipline.

Responsibilities

Deliver precision imaging by expertly positioning patients and selecting accurate technical factors to ensure high-diagnostic clarity on every scan.
Prioritize safety and peace of mind by rigorously applying radiation protection protocols for patients, colleagues, and yourself in line with state and federal regulations.
Partner directly with physicians and lead technologists during specialized imaging procedures to keep workflows running smoothly and elevate patient care.
Safely prepare and administer contrast media and medications, maintaining vigilant attention to detail throughout the patient's care journey.
Maintain an exceptional care environment by ensuring procedure rooms, dressing areas, and equipment remain clean, stocked, safe, and ready for every patient.
