About The Position

This role is for an Imaging Intern at Ascension's Columbia St. Mary's Milwaukee facility. The intern will work in the Imaging Department on a rotating shift, PRN schedule. The position involves implementing radiation protection and safety standards, preparing for and assisting supervising technologists and physicians in imaging procedures, administering contrast media and medications, and maintaining a clean and orderly department.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High school diploma equivalency OR Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline required.

Responsibilities

Implement radiation protection and safety standards.
Prepare for and assist the supervising technologists and physicians in a variety of imaging procedures.
Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in the department.
