About The Position

This role is an Imaging Intern position located at Ascension St. Francis Hospital in the Diagnostic Radiology department. The schedule is Evening | PRN. The intern will be responsible for delivering precise patient positioning by selecting accurate technical parameters to capture high-quality images, maintaining strict radiation safety protocols, partnering with physicians and senior technologists for complex procedures, and administering contrast media and medications safely.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High school diploma/GED required.
Enrolled in degreed program specific to discipline.

Responsibilities

Deliver precise patient positioning by selecting accurate technical parameters to capture high-quality images on the first take, minimizing patient discomfort and retakes.
Maintain strict radiation safety protocols to ensure total compliance with state and federal regulations, protecting patients, yourself, and your colleagues during every procedure.
Partner directly with physicians and senior technologists to prepare for and execute complex diagnostic imaging procedures seamlessly.
Administer contrast media and medications safely by verifying patient history, ensuring accurate dosing, and providing reassuring patient care throughout the process.
