About The Position
Imaging Clinical Support transports and assists patients and supports departmental needs. The role also assists at the front desk and processes patient information. This part-time position is in the Radiology department and requires 24 hours per week. Pay is based on experience, with an estimated compensation range of $16.54–$25.24 per hour and a starting rate of $16.54 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Determine whether adequate equipment is available for use.
- Disinfect equipment and report malfunctions as needed.
- Maintain patient safety during transport and know how to respond to a patient emergency, including calling a patient code or getting help when necessary.
- Use safe techniques when transporting patients, oxygen, and IVs.
- Proactively prevent patient falls and make patient safety the first priority at all times.
- Provide patients with information about appointment wait times.
- Provide receptionist and general office assistance to patients, visitors, and other Health System staff.
- Receive incoming telephone calls and direct them throughout the department; take messages when necessary.
- Serve as a resource to patients and families.
- Transport patients throughout various areas of the Health Center.
- Verify patients’ special needs with nursing personnel.
