The Imaging Assistant works with and provides assistance to Imaging departments and may also be required to rotate to campus adjacent imaging centers as needed to support patient care. This role facilitates patient flow, patient transport, serves as a central point of communication, and remains with patients while awaiting their procedures as needed. The Imaging Assistant is a versatile role that requires excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize requests as appropriate in support of the patient care experience. The Imaging Assistant may perform iSTAT blood creatinine test with additional competencies and report result to technologist/radiologist for review. Restricted to performing tests on previously obtained, accurately labeled specimens.
