About The Position

The Imaging Assistant I observes and assists in Orlando Health Imaging areas, including CT, MRI, sonography, and X-ray. The role supports patient transport, supply handling, room stocking and cleaning, equipment upkeep, and other facility tasks. The position is located at Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital in Lakeland, Florida, and is scheduled Friday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• BLS/Healthcare Provider American Heart Association certified CPR.

Responsibilities

• Safely and professionally transports patients using stretchers and wheelchairs, following HIPAA and handoff compliance requirements.
• Uses two patient identifiers for every patient in accordance with The Joint Commission patient-safety regulations.
• Orders and receives weekly radiology supplies.
• Picks up and delivers requisitions, specimens, and other materials within the facility.
• Assists with stocking and cleaning rooms and puts supplies away correctly.
• Reports faulty equipment, hazardous conditions, and incidents to a supervisor for follow-up.
• Returns equipment to designated storage areas and maintains, cleans, deodorizes, and disinfects transport equipment as needed.
• Maintains oxygen and suction supplies as required by the facility.
• Uses corporate radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.
• Delivers mail between departments as needed.
• Maintains reasonably regular and punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies and applicable standards.
• Complies with Orlando Health policies and procedures.
