About The Position

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking current or waitlisted Radiology Technologist students for an Imaging Intern role. This student trainee has broad-based knowledge of general radiography science and procedures and may have limited clinical experience while developing clinical skills. The practitioner operates various types of equipment with increasing mastery and independence. Clinical experiences occur under the general supervision of a registered technologist until modality competencies are met. The Imaging Intern is part of the patient care team and assists with patient care under the direction of radiologists and registered technologists. The role offers an opportunity to learn CT in addition to general scans. Overnight hours; total weekly hours depend on the student’s or applicant’s availability.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an approved radiography program.
• Current BLS certification, or obtain it within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Previous work experience in an acute care setting is beneficial but not required.
