About The Position

As a CT Technologist at Glens Falls Hospital, you will partner with Radiologists to perform a variety of computerized tomography procedures. You will apply technical judgment, expertise, and radiation protection practices to obtain precise scans while providing exceptional physical, emotional, and age-specific patient care. The hospital offers Radiologic Technologists and new graduates a pathway to CT, with up to one year to obtain ARRT CT registry certification.

Requirements

• Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology Program.
• Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License.
• Active ARRT registration.
• ARRT CT certification or registry eligibility; CT certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Current BLS certification, or obtain it at the time of hire.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of general radiologic technologist experience with CT exposure is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT examinations safely and accurately according to established departmental protocols.
• Provide customer service and patient education, and perform radiation safety checks during imaging procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS platforms.
• Supervise and educate imaging students rotating through clinical settings.
• Collaborate on workflow improvement projects.
• Assist with patient transport.
• Troubleshoot equipment.
• Maintain a clean and stocked imaging environment.
