The scientist will utilize tools like SARPy and Matlab SAR toolbox, and work with metrics such as RNIIRS, information theoretic-based image quality metrics, SAR imagery quality metrics, and sensor metadata. A key responsibility is exploiting SAR data to identify and locate Objects of Interest (OOI). The role also includes developing, testing, and evaluating new algorithms, processes, methodologies, and products using SAR imagery with programming languages like Python, MATLAB, and Google Earth Engine. Effective communication with both technical and non-technical audiences regarding SAR availability and capabilities is essential. A deep understanding of remote sensing principles, imagery processing, and advanced exploitation methods is required.
