About The Position

Clear Resolution Consulting (CRC) is seeking an expert SAR Imagery Scientist to join our team. This role involves working on client site in Springfield, Virginia, supporting the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery, including collection, phenomenology, image formation, exploitation, and algorithm development. You will be responsible for analyzing SAR data, developing new algorithms and processes, and communicating findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. This is a challenging role with significant impact on National Security, offering opportunities for professional growth within a supportive team environment.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with the willingness to take a CI polygraph exam.
  • 12 years of relevant experience and a Master's Degree OR a Bachelors in a STEM field and 17 years experience OR 21 years of relevant experience.
  • 6+ years of experience as a SAR expert with understanding of collection, phenomenology, image formation process, and exploitation products.
  • Proficient with Python.
  • Experience with SARPy and Matlab SAR toolbox.
  • Experience with RNIIS, information theoretic-based image quality metrics, SAR imagery quality metrics, and sensor metadata (e.g., graze, squint).
  • Deep understanding of the principles of remote sensing and imagery processing and advanced exploitation methods.

  • Experience applying CV and machine learning to SAR imagery.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a SAR expert with a deep understanding of collection, phenomenology, image formation process, and exploitation products.
  • Exploit SAR imagery to determine the occurrence and location of an Object of Interest (OOI).
  • Develop, test, and evaluate new algorithms, processes, methodologies, and products using SAR imagery with tools like Python, MATLAB, and Google Earth Engine.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences regarding the availability and capabilities of SAR.
  • Apply Computer Vision (CV) and machine learning techniques to SAR imagery.
  • Work on client site in Springfield, Virginia.
