About The Position

This position requires an Imagery Scientist with expertise in Electro-Optical (EO) systems. The role involves a deep understanding of collection, phenomenology, image formation processes, and exploitation products. The successful candidate will be responsible for exploiting EO data to identify the occurrence and location of Objects of Interest (OOI), and for developing, testing, and evaluating new algorithms, processes, methodologies, and products using EO imagery. This includes utilizing advanced processing tools like Python, MATLAB, and Google Earth Engine to automate scientific processes for EO imagery data analysis. The role also requires effective communication with both technical and non-technical audiences regarding the availability and capabilities of EO systems. A strong foundation in remote sensing, imagery processing, and advanced exploitation methods is essential.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as an EO expert.
  • Understanding of collection, phenomenology, image formation process, and exploitation products.
  • Experience exploiting EO to determine the occurrence and location of an OOI.
  • Experience developing, testing, and evaluating new algorithms, processes, methodologies, and products using EO imagery.
  • Experience utilizing advanced processing tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, Google Earth Engine, etc.) to automate scientific processes of EO imagery data to aid analysis.
  • Experience communicating with technical and non-technical audiences on availability and capabilities of EO.
  • Deep understanding of the principles of remote sensing and imagery processing and advanced exploitation methods.
  • TS/SCI REQUIRED
  • Current CI polygraph is required immediately after starting (or already within scope)

Nice To Haves

  • Exhibit experience applying CV and ML techniques to EO imagery and data.
