About The Position

The Independent Living/Supported Living Services Department is seeking a patient and reliable Trainer to provide life skills training and independent living support to a female adult with developmental disabilities. The role includes supervising and assisting the client with shopping, money management, doctors' appointments, meal preparation, and other goals the individual is working to achieve. The client prefers female trainers only.

Requirements

• Must be available Wednesdays from 6 AM to 2 PM.
• Must be able to use smartphone applications for timekeeping and documentation.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Must be able to speak and understand basic English.
• Must successfully complete a Department of Justice background screening.
• Must successfully complete a physical and TB test.
• Must have a valid driver's license and five years of driving experience.
• Must have a reliable, insured personal vehicle.
• Must be patient and understanding.
• The client prefers female trainers only.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with the developmentally disabled population.
