About The Position

The Independent Living/Supported Living Services Department is seeking a patient and reliable Trainer to provide life skills training and independent living support to a male adult with developmental disabilities. The Trainer will supervise and assist the individual with shopping, money management, doctors' appointments, meal preparation, and other personal goals. The schedule varies, and the position may require availability on any day of the week.

Requirements

• Must be available to work any day of the week; the schedule varies.
• Must be able to use smartphone applications for timekeeping and documentation.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Must speak and understand basic English.
• Must successfully complete a Department of Justice background screening.
• Must successfully complete a physical and TB test.
• Must have a valid driver's license and at least five years of driving experience.
• Must have a reliable, insured personal vehicle.
• Must be patient and understanding.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with the developmentally disabled population.
