About The Position
The Independent Living/Supported Living Services Department is seeking a patient and reliable Trainer to support a male adult with developmental disabilities. The Trainer will supervise and assist the client with shopping, doctors' appointments, meal preparation, light cleaning, and other goals the individual is working to achieve. The client prefers an African American male trainer and may be physically aggressive.
Requirements
- Must be available Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
- Must be able to use smartphone applications for timekeeping and documentation.
- Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
- Must be able to speak and understand basic English.
- Must successfully complete a Department of Justice background screening.
- Must successfully complete a physical and TB test.
- Must have a valid driver's license and at least 5 years of driving experience.
- Must have a reliable, insured personal vehicle.
- Must be patient and understanding.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with the developmentally disabled population is preferred.
