About The Position
Clarifi Staffing Solutions is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for an Illinois school serving approximately 10 students with diverse educational and developmental needs. The classroom primarily supports students with autism, including learners who need more intensive assistance. This opportunity is well suited for an educator who values individualized teaching, consistent routines, and a supportive classroom environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field.
- Strong classroom management, organization, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate Special Education endorsement.

- Experience supporting students with autism, significant support needs, or in a self-contained classroom.
Responsibilities
- Track student progress and complete required documentation.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning.
- Adapt lessons, activities, and classroom routines to meet varied abilities.
- Collaborate with families, paraprofessionals, and related-service providers.
- Apply positive behavior strategies and maintain a safe, structured classroom.
- Promote academic, behavioral, communication, and functional skill development.
- Deliver individualized instruction based on students’ IEPs and learning objectives.
