About The Position

An Individualized Home Support (IHS) Specialist assists individuals in their personal residences or family homes as they work toward personal goals. The role supports individuals with tasks such as meal preparation, community outings, shopping, cleaning, attending appointments, and other activities at home and in the community. The position covers areas across the Twin Cities, including Minneapolis and Saint Paul, and offers a flexible Monday–Friday schedule with at least 20 guaranteed hours per week. Pay is $18.00 per hour, including company benefits.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age to support Adult Programs.
• Be proficient in spoken and written English.
• Have a vehicle for work-related use with current car insurance.
• Have an acceptable driving record as determined by Meridian Services policy.
• Have a Wi-Fi-enabled device for work-related use.
• Successfully clear a Department of Human Services (DHS) Background Study.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience supporting individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, and/or a mental health diagnosis.

Responsibilities

• Work on tailored outcomes with each person served, which may include budgeting, behavioral management, community exploration, meal planning, organizational skills, coping skills, and physical fitness.
• Actively participate with individuals served while working on outcomes and during community activities.
• Provide guidance and instructional teaching to individuals served while building life skills.
• Provide supervision and transportation in the community for activities and appointments.
