Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) or advanced degree in engineering, science, or other related discipline from an accredited university.
  • 15 years IH/Safety related experience or 10 years IH/Safety related experience with an advanced degree and applicable board certification in industrial hygiene or as a certified safety professional.
  • Background of managing a safety or IH team.
  • Clean credit and no criminal history.
  • U.S. Citizenship and clearance eligibility

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer to have had a federal CAC in recent past.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the requirements within the PWS are being met and be the prime POC for the COR.
  • At a minimum hold one meeting a month with all IHS staff to review performance and trends as related to the duties of the PWS.
  • Meet with the COR and OSHB Manager on a routine basis to ensure the IHS staff are meeting the current needs of the SCD mission.
  • Write technical papers on related subjects and review documents of staff.
  • Create and review/revise existing programs at the discretion of the OSHB Manager.
  • Ensure the needs of the IHS staff are met and be a part of the hiring process of new staff personnel.
  • Attend project related meetings and attend the monthly Contractor Progress Meeting with OSHB staff.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of the IHS staff.
  • Manage the budget within the contract and ensure programs that are spelled out within the contract are being completed in a timely manner and reviewed annually.
  • Ensure Quality Assurance checks are being performed as per the accepted plan.
  • Lead Safety Management Systems (SMS) effort to achieve an accepted status and then maintain that status.
