About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Ignition Lead Developer to manage deployments with Kubernetes and automate CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, ensure best practices, and provide documentation and training. This position is onsite for the first two months, then transitions to a hybrid model.

Requirements

• Experience in at least one full Ignition deployment from design to go-live
• Strong knowledge of Ignition (Perspective, Scripting) with modular and scalable design expertise
• Proficiency in Python, Java, SQL, and Timescale DB for backend logic, automation, and data workflows
• Skilled in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for building responsive industrial dashboards
• Hands-on experience with industrial protocols (MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus) and tools like Hive MQ
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines in manufacturing/OT environments
• 5+ years in IIoT, Ignition, Edge Computing
• 10+ years in Automation
• Bachelors in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing or Industry 4.0 experience
• Familiarity with Cloud Platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT, or similar)
• Knowledge of IIoT security practices
• GitHub portfolio with relevant projects
