About The Position
The IIoT Engineer will manage deployments with Kubernetes and automate CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, ensure best practices, and provide documentation and training. The position requires experience in at least one full Ignition deployment from design to go-live, strong knowledge of Ignition (Perspective, Scripting) with modular and scalable design expertise, and proficiency in Python, Java, SQL, and Timescale DB for backend logic, automation, and data workflows. Additionally, the role demands skills in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for building responsive industrial dashboards, hands-on experience with industrial protocols (MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus) and tools like Hive MQ, and familiarity with Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines in manufacturing/OT environments.
Requirements
- Experience in at least one full Ignition deployment from design to go-live
- Strong knowledge of Ignition (Perspective, Scripting) with modular and scalable design expertise
- Proficiency in Python, Java, SQL, and Timescale DB for backend logic, automation, and data workflows
- Skilled in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for building responsive industrial dashboards
- Hands-on experience with industrial protocols (MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus) and tools like Hive MQ
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines in manufacturing/OT environments
- 5+ years in IIoT, Ignition, Edge Computing
- 10+ years in Automation
Nice To Haves
- Manufacturing or Industry 4.0 experience
- Familiarity with Cloud Platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT, or similar)
- Knowledge of IIoT security practices
- GitHub portfolio with relevant projects
