About The Position

Panduit is hiring an IEI Systems Engineering Intern to support its Systems and Renewable Energy Engineering Team. The team works on tools, subsea cable protection systems, and renewable energy products, and includes mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, along with a drafter and technician.

The intern will support business development or product management across a diverse product set while learning brainstorming and new product development processes. The role offers hands-on experience supporting an engineering team with innovation, product design, and testing. Work includes design for manufacturability and assembly, DFMEA, and risk assessment.

Panduit's intern program includes work within the intern's functional area, opportunities to connect with the summer intern cohort, and special presentation sessions with company leaders. Pay starts at $21.75 per hour. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Panduit will not sponsor work visas now or in the future.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited four-year mechanical engineering degree program.
• Completed at least four semesters by the start of the internship.
• CAD experience is required.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; work visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Siemens NX.
• FEA knowledge and an interest in materials science.
