About The Position

This is a support position to the IEC Maintenance Department. The IEC Tech III supports the repair, installation, and calibration of refinery and terminal IEC equipment, as well as other activities involving the IEC Maintenance Department.

Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
3 years of industrial IEC experience or 3 years of related experience
A valid driver's license must be maintained
Must successfully complete and pass a Functional Job Capacity Evaluation (FCE)

Responsibilities

Must successfully complete Emergency Response Training and perform duties as assigned
Keep safe work habits as the highest priority at all times
Maintain a clean and well-organized workspace at all times
Strive to develop good working relationships with all co-workers, customers and associates
Complete work orders on all IEC-related equipment and document all service and repair while striving to continually improve the preventive maintenance program
Implement, program, and maintain microprocessor controllers, programmable logic controllers and combustion controllers
Install and maintain electric heat tracing
Wire electric motors and other IEC-related equipment
Install electrical conduit and wiring
Repair and maintain steam systems
Install and maintain instrument tubing
Plan for and specify materials for IEC-related projects
Interpret P&IDs and other IEC-related drawings
Troubleshoot and repair control valves, regulators, heater control panels, motor controls, transmitters and other IEC related equipment
Serve as job leader for various IEC related tasks when directed by IEC Supervisor
Supervise contractors when directed by IEC Supervisor
Available for call out when scheduled by Maintenance Department
Complete SAP work orders accurately
