About The Position

The IE Specialist will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and calibrating a variety of electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical instrumentation systems used in manufacturing, research and development, or other industries. The successful candidate will work with a team of engineers and technicians to ensure that all instrumentation equipment is properly functioning and accurately measuring the required parameters.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Ability to work with low and high-pressure tubing/piping systems.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Willingness to follow all company and project policies, rules, and guidelines.
  • Willingness to assist in any additional qualified duties assigned.
  • NCCER Certified.
  • TDLR certified.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to pass drug test and background check.
  • Ability to read prints and P&IDs.
  • Ability to work with piping systems to install instrumentation.
  • Ability to work with precision tools to calibrate instrumentation and adjust installed electrical and piping components.
  • Ability to work with the installation, manipulation, and fabrication of piping and tubing according to specifications.
  • Possession of all journeymen tools and experience with associated power tools.
  • Ability to measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install primary piping and tubing.
  • Ability to check performance using testing and measuring instruments and make necessary adjustments.
  • High level of intellectual ability.

Responsibilities

  • Installing, maintaining, repairing, and calibrating a variety of electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical instrumentation systems.

  • Reading prints and P&IDs to interpret work to be completed, required equipment, and tools.
  • Working with piping systems to install instrumentation for proper system function, control, and monitoring.
  • Working with precision tools to calibrate instrumentation and adjust installed electrical and piping components.
  • Installation, manipulation, and fabrication of piping and tubing according to specifications.
  • Measuring, cutting, bending, threading, assembling, and installing primary piping and tubing.
  • Checking performance using testing and measuring instruments and making necessary adjustments.
