About The Position

FM is hiring an Identity Services Specialist Co-Op to join their team for the Winter 2027 school term, full-time for 6 months (January - June). This US-based remote opportunity may require periodic travel to their corporate headquarters in Johnston, RI. This is a great opportunity for students to apply classroom experience, professional attitude, and personal ambition, while earning college credits and getting paid.

Requirements

Must be enrolled as a full-time student studying Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, MIS or related degree program during the Spring 2027 Semester.
Strong team players who can work independently when needed.
Proven understanding of basic concepts in at least one technology field (i.e., Networking, Systems Administration, End-User Support, Development, etc.).
Experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (Server 2012/19, etc.).
Experience with Microsoft Windows Active Directory.
Experience with Microsoft Azure.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Organized, diligent, and analytical.
Able to generate creative ideas to address problems and improve work methods.
Able to demonstrate high personal work standards and a sense of urgency about results.
Able to learn quickly on the job.

Nice To Haves

Experience with PowerShell or similar scripting technology.

Responsibilities

Perform daily operations for identity and directory services technologies to support enterprise identity, authentication, and authorization services (such as Microsoft AD, Identity Federation, PKI, MFA).
Supervise ticket queues, respond to incident tickets received from the service desk, process change requests, and resolve technology issues.
Set up users with Multi Factor Authentication (MFA).
Troubleshoot access to Password Management application.
Handle account issues such as restoring accounts and fixing issues with Single Sign On (SSO).
Work with Active Directory Domain Services.
Work with Active Directory Federation Services.
Work with Active Directory Certificate Services.
