About The Position

The Identity Management Engineer II creates and maintains processes for identity management practices for the Office of Information Technology (OIT) under moderate supervision. Ensures appropriate tools, processes, procedures, and reporting are established and maintained. Works closely with other areas of OIT, developers, vendors, customers, and other stakeholders to establish identity requirements, business rules, and workflows, and develop processes to implement those requirements in on premise and cloud environments. Writes, modifies, converts, and maintains scripts and functions for identity management. Manages sensitive processes such as litigation holds and access termination. Works with the CISO and OIT leadership to establish the Identity and Access Management (IAM) program for the University, including developing strategy and creating processes for the identity management practices for the Office of Information Technology. Ensures that the appropriate tools, processes, procedures, and reporting are established and maintained. Works closely with other areas of OIT, developers, vendors, customers, and other stakeholders to establish identity requirements, business rules, and workflows, and develop a strategy and framework to implement those requirements. Assists with sensitive processes such as litigation holds and access termination.

Requirements

  • Master's degree and some IT security or identity management experience; OR bachelor's degree and two (2) years of IT security or identity management experience; OR associate's degree and four (4) years of IT experience to include two (2) years of IT security or identity management; OR high school diploma or GED and six (6) years of IT experience to include two (2) years of IT security or identity management.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced experience with Okta, Saviynt, Active Directory, LDAP.
  • Knowledge of scripting or programming.
  • Knowledge of project management methods and applications.
  • Advanced certifications.
