About The Position

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring an Identity and Access Coordinator in Salem, Virginia. The Identity and Access Coordinator is responsible for executing predefined, step-by-step setup activities and validations for the organization’s IT systems, including following documented checklists and procedures for user account provisioning/deprovisioning, software deployments, basic configurations, and routine system validations. The Identity and Access Coordinator ensures consistent adherence to established processes to support system availability, security, and compliance while providing entry-level technical assistance to users. Seeking candidates with High school diploma required, some college preferred; Minimum of one year of experience in IT support, system setups, user provisioning, or related technical roles; Experience following documented procedures and checklists is strongly preferred.

Requirements

  • Basic proficiency in identity/authentication services and Microsoft Entra ID concepts.
  • Must be able to follow organizational setup procedures, security groups, access control lists, and account privileges using provided checklists.
  • Familiarity with standard software licensing processes, particularly Microsoft subscription models.
  • Must be able to follow step-by-step software and hardware setup and configuration procedures.
  • Proficiency with MS-Office products.
  • Basic understanding of Cyber Security Principles and the importance of following security procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
  • Good organization skills with the ability to follow priorities, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Must be able to handle a high volume of routine tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to assist with basic user training on standard software and technology.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate technical steps to non-technical users.
  • Must be able to work effectively, both independently and in team settings.
