About The Position

This is a Merit Hire position with an hourly rate of $29.27. Dauphin County Mental Health/Autism/Developmental Programs is seeking a full-time Program Specialist 2, Provider Coordinator. This role involves program planning, analysis, and monitoring, along with coordinating community Autism/Developmental Programs (A/DP) services. The position is responsible for overseeing provider operations within the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP), including new provider development, performance monitoring, risk management, variance review, and residential provider oversight. The goal is to ensure compliance, quality service delivery, and continuous improvement across ODP-funded services. This position is critical in ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of citizens receiving support services through the ID/A programs. Work is performed under the direction of the Deputy Autism/Developmental Programs Administrator 2. Additionally, the role assists with Early Intervention (EI) Program Specialist onboarding and ongoing monitoring of staff qualifications according to OCDEL EI regulations chapter 4226 and Dauphin County policies. Excellent communication skills (written, oral), and basic knowledge of computer technology, Microsoft Word, and Excel are required. The role requires some travel within the county and occasionally to other parts of the state for services and meetings. Occasional evening meetings are also required. The position is located in the MH/A/DP Administrator’s Office.

Requirements

Two years of professional-level experience in the field of intellectual disabilities
Bachelor's degree
Valid driver’s license and positive driving record at the time of hire
Favorable criminal background check, child abuse and FBI clearances, as well as favorable references
Proof of a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license within 60 days from the date of hire (or alternative identification if driving is not essential and eligibility for PA license is an issue)
Excellent communication skills – written, oral
Basic knowledge of computer technology, Microsoft Word, and Excel
