About The Position

The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the planning, delivery, and management of direct patient care, utilizing the nursing process and adhering to the standards of nursing practice. The RN collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care in alignment with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong clinical assessment skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (may be necessary depending on the department)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (may be necessary depending on the department)

Responsibilities

  • Provides safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care based on each patient’s unique needs.
  • Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, monitors responses, and reports any changes in condition.
  • Accurately documents all aspects of patient care using electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Works closely with interdisciplinary team members to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
  • Educates patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
  • Responds quickly and appropriately in emergencies, initiating life-saving interventions when needed.
  • Delegates responsibilities to LPNs, CNAs, and other healthcare team members as appropriate, while remaining accountable for overall patient care.
  • Adheres to infection control protocols, safety procedures, and hospital policies.
  • Participates in ongoing professional development and continuing education to maintain and enhance clinical skills.
