About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care to patients in the Neuro-Vascular Intensive Care Unit (NVICU). The unit has 16 beds and 46 staff members, with an estimated patient-to-nurse ratio of 2:1. The position uses standard ICU equipment and the Meditech electronic medical record system. The schedule requires working at least four weekends during each schedule period. Night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM are preferred. The nurse may be required to float to various ICUs, BMT, and PCU floors as needed. Nurses are expected to follow standard ICU policies and guidelines. The unit's scrub color is royal blue.
Requirements
- ICU experience is mandatory.
- ACLS certification.
- Work at least four weekends during each schedule period.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Meditech EMR.
- Oncology and/or Neuro experience.
- Night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM are preferred.
- Team player who is accountable and caring.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the NVICU.
- Perform critical procedures, including central line and A-line placements, intubation, and EVD placement.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in patient status.
- Float to various ICUs, BMT, and PCU floors as needed.
- Adhere to standard ICU policies and guidelines.
