About The Position
The unit specializes in burn care and includes 8 beds with 19 personnel. Staffing consists of a day shift with 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, and 1 wound technician, and a night shift with 1 charge nurse and 3 RNs. Patient ratios are 1:2 to 1:3. The unit utilizes GE monitors and Plum IV Pumps, and uses Meditech as the EMR. This role provides a unique opportunity to work with critical burn patients during their acute and recovery phases. The unit features advanced equipment and fosters a collaborative environment among experienced staff. Candidates can expect flexible scheduling options to support work-life balance.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of current ICU RN experience
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- NIHSS certification
Nice To Haves
- Experience with ICU assessments
- Experience with ventilator management
- Experience with fluid resuscitation
- Experience with wound care
- Experience with pain management techniques
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an ICU setting specializing in burn care.
- Manage patients requiring medical/surgical and ICU care, including immediate postoperative care and general medical/surgical ICU patients.
- Utilize advanced equipment such as GE monitors and Plum IV Pumps.
- Collaborate with a team of experienced staff.
