About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment. The ICU is an 8-bed unit serving a general medical/surgical population, including stable CVA post-TPA, respiratory failure, manual proning, COPD, CHF, and DKA patients. The unit does not provide CABG or neuro surgeries. Patient ratios are 1:1–2, and Cerner is used for electronic medical records.

The role is scheduled for 12-hour night shifts, with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Nurses work every other weekend and participate in holiday scheduling with core staff. Self-scheduling is available, including shift trades. New hires receive comprehensive orientation, including 1–2 days on the floor with a preceptor. Nurses may float to other facilities within the region as needed.

Requirements

• Two years of ICU experience.
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• NIHSS certification.
• Ability to read and interpret EKG strips.
• Experience with Gallileo and G5 ventilators.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional care to critically ill patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and interpret patient conditions and vital signs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Use telemedicine technologies for consultations.
• Float to other facilities within the region as needed.
