About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment. The role is based in an Intensive Care Unit with 34 beds. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:1–2 in ICU, 1:4–5 in Progressive Care Unit (PCU), and 1:5–6 in Medical-Surgical (MS). Staff may float to other inpatient units as needed, and two shifts of unit-specific orientation will be provided. Employees must comply with the fingernail policy prohibiting artificial nails and be able to read and interpret telemetry monitor strips independently. The role calls for strong critical thinking, a positive attitude, and collaborative teamwork.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry monitor strips independently.
• Comply with the fingernail policy prohibiting artificial nails.
• Strong critical thinking skills, a positive attitude, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
• Monitor patients’ conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
• Titrate intravenous drips, including vasopressors and sedatives.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Utilize advanced monitoring equipment and technology.
• Participate in rapid response teams and code blue situations.
• Assist in training and mentoring new staff and students.
