About The Position
We are seeking a skilled ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float Pool within an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing patients across medical-surgical, progressive care, and intensive care units. The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population, including but not limited to: Complex withdrawal syndromes (e.g., Opioid Use Disorder, alcohol withdrawal), Hypertensive conditions (stable hypertensive urgencies), and Diabetic Ketoacidosis (subject to specific monitoring requirements). This position is based in a regional facility located in City, State.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years in a clinical specialty area.
- At least 2 years of RN experience in general.
- Valid Registered Nurse License in PA or MS Compact.
- Basic Life Support certification required.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Additional certifications as needed based on specialty and requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assess, implement, and evaluate patient care under the direction of licensed physicians.
- Utilize nursing processes to collaborate with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals to provide individualized care.
- Direct nursing support staff in delivering patient care in alignment with nursing practice standards and departmental protocols.
