ICU Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner
About The Position
Inspire Health Medical Group, affiliated with UCSF Fresno, is seeking a licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for the Department of Medicine’s Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine (PCCM) at Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will be an integral member of the PCCM division and work with UCSF Fresno Intensivist faculty. The APP will provide direct care to ICU patients under the supervision of an ICU attending, typically caring for 6–8 patients during the day. ICU teams may also include residents and/or fellows. Flexible scheduling is available, with full-time and part-time opportunities. Fresno is located in California’s Central Valley and offers a lower cost of living than many major California metropolitan areas, a diverse and family-friendly community, abundant sunshine, and access to Yosemite, Sequoia, and Kings Canyon National Parks.
Requirements
- California Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license.
- Strong clinical skills.
Nice To Haves
- One year of critical care experience as an APP is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care for patients in the ICU under the supervision of an ICU attending.
- Work with UCSF Fresno Intensivist faculty as part of the PCCM division and ICU teams.
- Typically manage a daytime workload of 6–8 patients.
