About The Position

MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based team at Capital Medical Center. The role uses specialized nursing knowledge and training to deliver patient care through a multidisciplinary approach. Nurses at MultiCare participate in clinical decision-making and work in an environment focused on communication, professional development, and support.

The position is listed at 0.9 FTE, with a night shift schedule consisting of 12-hour shifts and alternating weekends. Capital Medical Center is a 107-bed community hospital serving Olympia and nearby communities, with more than 20 specialties, including emergency services, surgical care, and a dedicated birth center.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
• Current BLS certification.
• One year of experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
• ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.
• Certification in a specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
• Use nursing education and experience to deliver care according to the nursing process and hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience and reduce costs.
• Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and members of the health care team.
• Advocate for ethical and holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
