ICU/PCU RN
About The Position
MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based ICU/PCU team at Capital Medical Center. The RN will use specialized training, knowledge, and nursing care in a multidisciplinary setting. Nurses at MultiCare participate in clinical decision-making, communicate with colleagues, receive support for professional development, and contribute to the future of nursing at the organization. The position is 0.9 FTE, with 12-hour night shifts and alternating weekends. Capital Medical Center is a 107-bed community hospital serving Olympia and surrounding communities, with more than 20 specialties, including emergency services, surgical care, and a dedicated birth center.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
- Certification in a specialty area.
- One year of experience in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
- Use nursing education and experience to provide care through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction.
- Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
- Advocate for ethical and holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
