About The Position

The ICTV Sports Director is a student employment position at Ithaca College, responsible for overseeing all Sports programming for ICTV. This role involves helping producers train cast/crew, acting as a liaison with the Athletics Department to coordinate press and crew access to facilities, managing press pass allocation, and coordinating meetings and critiques with Sports producers to ensure adherence to ICTV workflow and rules. The Director also selects producers for certain shows, manages the allocation of ICTV Checkout Center equipment for Sports Shows, serves as the Executive Producer for all Sports programming, ensures professional broadcasts, coordinates with other media outlets for footage sharing, and meets weekly with the ICTV Executive Staff. Requirements

• At least one semester of experience volunteering within ICTV.
• Include a cover letter explaining what you would bring to the position and what ideas you have for ICTV moving forward.
• Successful completion of the I-9 and employment eligibility requirements.
• Bring original, unexpired, authorized personal identification documents to your designated representative or The Office of Human Resources to complete the I-9 form.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Helping producers in their department train their cast/crew members at the beginning of each semester.
• Acting as a liaison between ICTV and all Athletics Department personnel to coordinate ICTV’s press access and crew access to Athletics facilities.
• Managing the allocation of press passes available to the station.
• Coordinating meetings and critiques with all Sports producers to ensure all shows follow the ICTV workflow and rules and maintain good relations with Athletic Department personnel.
• Selecting Producers for shows that have requested the Sports Director to select.
• Managing the allocation of all ICTV Checkout Center equipment for Sports Shows.
• Serving as the Executive Producer of all Sports programming.
• Ensuring cohesive and professional broadcasts for all Sports programming on ICTV.
• Coordinating with other media outlets to share sports footage.
• Meeting weekly with the rest of the ICTV Executive Staff.
