About The Position

The ICTV Director of Programming is responsible for developing and distributing a weekly programming schedule for the ICTV Executive Staff, monitoring and ensuring programming submissions comply with all station policies, and coordinating with various managers and producers to manage deadlines, broadcast promotions, content readiness, and studio schedules. The role also involves weekly meetings with the ICTV Executive Staff. This position is part of Ithaca College’s student employment program, which offers meaningful experiential learning opportunities designed to develop transferable skills and allow students to apply classroom knowledge in real-world professional settings, fostering both personal and professional growth. Requirements

  • at least one semester of experience volunteering within ICTV
  • include a cover letter explaining what you would bring to the position and what ideas you have for ICTV moving forward
  • successful completion of the I-9 and employment eligibility requirements
  • successful completion of the criminal background check

Responsibilities

  • Developing and distributing a weekly programming schedule for the ICTV Executive Staff.
  • Monitoring and ensuring that ICTV’s programming submissions comply with all station policies.
  • Working with show producers and the Digital Media Manager in setting deadlines for submissions.
  • Working with Director of Publicity and Director of Web Development to ensure ICTV broadcast promotions are coordinated.
  • Working with the Digital Media Manager and Master Control Supervisor to ensure that content is ready for broadcast each programming day.
  • Working with show producers and the Director of Technical Operations to coordinate the broadcasting and studio schedules.
  • Meeting weekly with the rest of the ICTV Executive Staff.
