About The Position

We are the behavioral health community organization responsible for the delivery of mental health, substance abuse treatment coordination, and developmental disabilities services for Kent County. We need individuals who are passionate about making a difference by helping others. We are seeking an ICM Outpatient Therapist. Network180’s outpatient Integrated Case Management is a Patient-Centered Health Home that is based on the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) guidelines for the Patient-Centered Medical Home. This multidisciplinary team-based model includes: a psychiatrist, registered nurse, medical assistant, case managers, outpatient therapists and peer support. The team serves consumers with serious mental illness and substance use disorders with an emphasis on evidence-based therapeutic treatments. This position is 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. There are no weekends, on call, or holiday requirements for this position. This assignment is in person at 790 Fuller Ave NE Grand Rapids, Michigan 49503.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
  • Licensed in the State of Michigan as a Limited License Master Social Worker (LLMSW), Limited License Professional Counselor (LLPC), Limited License Counselor (LLC), Master Social Worker (LMSW), Professional Counselor (LPC), Psychologist (LP), or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), OR be eligible to obtain the limited license within one (1) month of hire.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job-related use.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities.

Nice To Haves

  • CAADC certification through MCBAP or be able to obtain a development plan for the credential.
  • Training in and experience with providing Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
  • Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic treatments to consumers with serious mental illness and substance use disorders.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including a psychiatrist, registered nurse, medical assistant, case managers, and peer support.
  • Participate in the Patient-Centered Health Home model based on NCQA guidelines.
  • Bridge language and cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities.
