About The Position

Lambs Farm is seeking an experienced ICF/DD Manager to provide leadership and operational oversight for their Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/DD) program. This role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a 24-hour residential program, encompassing staff supervision and development, participant services, regulatory compliance, health and safety, documentation, and quality improvement. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and accountable leader who understands the specific needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and can effectively balance participant-centered care with the operational and regulatory demands of the program.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum three years of related experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, including supervisory or management experience.
  • Knowledge of ICF/DD regulations, IDPH requirements, active treatment, individualized services, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising, coaching, training, and developing employees.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across interdisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and respond appropriately to staffing, participant, medical, behavioral, and operational concerns within a 24-hour residential environment.
  • Proficiency with electronic documentation systems, email, and basic computer applications.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and automobile insurance as required.
  • Ability to participate in on-call and emergency coverage, including occasional work outside regularly scheduled hours.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily ICF/DD program operations, including staffing, scheduling, service continuity, and operational needs.
  • Supervise and develop assigned staff through coaching, performance feedback, evaluations, training, and accountability.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing staff development while ensuring required competencies are maintained.
  • Ensure participants receive person-centered services and active treatment consistent with their individual plans, rights, preferences, and goals.
  • Collaborate with QIDPs, nursing, behavioral health, physicians, therapists, families/guardians, and other interdisciplinary partners to coordinate participant services.
  • Monitor participant health, behavioral, and support needs and ensure concerns are communicated and addressed appropriately.
  • Maintain compliance with ICF/DD regulations, IDPH requirements, applicable federal standards, and agency policies.
  • Maintain readiness for regulatory surveys, audits, and compliance reviews and ensure required program documentation is accurate, complete, and timely.
  • Review incidents, medication errors, injuries, complaints, and other program indicators to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure incidents and other reportable events are appropriately addressed, investigated, documented, and followed through.
  • Maintain program standards related to health, safety, infection control, emergency preparedness, and the residential environment.
  • Communicate effectively with participants, families/guardians, staff, interdisciplinary partners, and agency leadership.
  • Participate in required meetings, trainings, committees, quality improvement activities, and organizational initiatives.
  • Participate in on-call and emergency coverage responsibilities as assigned.
