About The Position
BAYADA's I/DD Caregivers provide one-on-one care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role helps clients build confidence, strengthen everyday skills, and live more independently in their homes. The position emphasizes building trust, creating stability, and helping others grow through meaningful, relationship-centered work.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- High school diploma or equivalent (18+)
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts and locations
- Reliable transportation and ability to drive clients to activities
- Willingness to travel between clients within your assigned area
Responsibilities
- Provide support with daily routines and personal care
- Help individuals build life skills and maintain independence
- Offer encouragement, consistency, and meaningful companionship
- Support engagement at home and within the community
