About The Position
Language Trainers is seeking a freelance Icelandic Teacher for a client in Denver, United States. This is a one-to-one general Icelandic course for a beginner student aged 17 and under. The course will consist of 20 total hours, with sessions lasting two hours each. The student's preferred schedule is twice per week, on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5 pm, with a preferred start date of September 16, 2026. The student's motivation is to reach A1 proficiency or higher to study in Iceland.
Requirements
- Native Icelandic speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
- Experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
- Valid work permit/visa.
- Live within 20 miles of 80227, Denver.
- Ability to submit CV with references, availability, and earliest possible start date.
- Meet the stated conditions for the role.
Nice To Haves
- Experience teaching Icelandic to beginners.
- Experience teaching students under 18.
Responsibilities
- Provide customized language training to a beginner student.
- Conduct one-to-one Icelandic lessons.
- Adhere to the student's preferred schedule (Mondays and Wednesdays at 5 pm) or discuss flexible options.
- Deliver lessons in Denver, 80227, or discuss flexible location options.
