About The Position

Language Trainers is an international language training company working with freelance teachers of 99+ languages in hundreds of cities worldwide. Founded in 2004, our motto is Any Language, Anytime, Anywhere (and Online). We provide customized language training to professionals and private students for work, family, and travel purposes. We are currently looking for a freelance German Teacher for one of our clients in New York, United States. The course type is General, with a one-to-one format. The total hours are 30, with each session being two hours long. The lessons will take place at a cafe in the East Village, New York. The student is at an Intermediate level, aged 18-24, and wishes to study twice per week (Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, usually in the morning but it varies). The student's preferred start date is 2026-09-10. The student's motivation for learning German is that they studied in Berlin for four months and are interested in living in Germany in the future, wanting to be able to use German at the workplace.

Requirements

• Be a native German speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
• Have experience as a language teacher, translator or interpreter.
• Have a valid work permit/visa.
• Live within 20 miles of the specified location (East Village, New York).
