About The Position

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is hiring part-time Scoopers for its Park Place ice cream shop in Dunwoody, Georgia. Scoopers represent the brand and deliver high standards and hospitality in every guest interaction. The role suits self-starters who can work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, and who bring positive energy, strong people skills, and a genuine passion for ice cream.

Part-time Scoopers earn $14.00 per hour plus an average of an additional $9 per hour in tips; tip averages are subject to seasonal fluctuation. Team members must be available for at least three shifts per week and able to work past 12 a.m. The position involves preparing and serving menu items, welcoming and assisting guests, following food-safety and sanitation procedures, and completing routine store tasks.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Genuine passion for ice cream and desserts.
• Dexterity to prepare and serve menu items according to established service and build-out standards.
• Able to regularly push, pull, and lift 50 pounds.
• Able to stand for extended periods and to stand, bend, and reach for prolonged periods.
• Able to regularly walk up and down stairs.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Available to work three days per week, including nights and weekends, past 12 a.m.
• Reliable, punctual, and ready for every shift.
• Food handlers certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Greet every guest warmly, enthusiastically, and with genuine hospitality.
• Scoop and serve all menu items while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
• Educate guests about flavors, ingredients, and special offerings as a Van Leeuwen ambassador.
• Prepare fresh, house-made menu items daily.
• Operate the Square POS system accurately to provide a seamless checkout process.
• Learn and follow required food-safety procedures.
• Maintain store cleanliness and follow sanitation guidelines.
• Complete daily tasks, including stocking, inventory, and cleaning.
• Follow established safety, grooming, uniform, and employee conduct standards.
