About The Position

The Ice Cream Server is responsible for delivering outstanding customer experience while supporting daily operations at the Toft Dairy Store/Parlor. This role involves serving ice cream and related products in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service. This is an ideal opportunity for high school and college students seeking seasonal employment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age (work permit required if applicable)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude and customer-focused mindset
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as scooping and serving
• Ability to lift light to moderate items (e.g., ice cream tubs, supplies)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask

• Previous customer service or food service experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Scoop and serve ice cream products efficiently and accurately
• Prepare menu items such as milkshakes, sundaes, and other desserts
• Maintain cleanliness of indoor and outdoor service areas
• Restock supplies and maintain product displays
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
• Support team members to ensure smooth daily operations
• Perform additional tasks as assigned
• Provide excellent customer service with a positive, energetic attitude
• Work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Demonstrate reliability, accountability, and professionalism
