The Role You will own North American chocolate and tropical oils procurement end to end—deciding what to buy, where, how, and when—while building future fit supplier partnerships that deliver value, sustainability, and supply security. You will sit at the intersection of markets, brands, suppliers, and risk, turning strategy into measurable impact.

Requirements

  • A knowledge of the North American chocolate, cocoa & tropical oils landscape
  • Strong commercial instinct with the confidence to take decisions
  • Ability to sell ideas, influence suppliers and senior stakeholders, and execute with precision
  • Deep curiosity for markets, value chains, and sustainability transformation
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity, change, and complexity
  • Proven experience in chocolate, cocoa & tropical oils procurement, sourcing, or large scale transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead global sourcing and risk strategy for commodities, balancing cost, security, and sustainability
  • Build and manage long term, strategic supplier partnerships aligned to value, carbon reduction, and innovation
  • Act as a global partner to Values Led brands (e.g. Ben & Jerry’s), advancing low carbon sourcing and supplier diversity
  • Translate market intelligence into price outlooks, budgets, and risk strategies, working closely with CPRM on hedging and exposure management
  • Enable innovation and NPD by working seamlessly with R&D, Supply Chain, and Brand teams
  • Drive complexity reduction, specification harmonisation, and working capital improvement
  • Lead supplier performance, crisis management, and continuous improvement
  • Deliver tangible savings, cash impact, and operational excellence—year after year
  • Develop, coach, and inspire high performing procurement talent
