About The Position

The Hyland Hills Park & Recreation District is seeking versatile and enthusiastic Ice Centre Attendants. Under the supervision of the Ice Centre Supervisor, team members will fulfill roles in Skate Rental, Concessions, and/or Ice Monitoring based on skills and facility needs.

Requirements

• Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Willingness to assist in multiple positions as needed.
• Consistent enforcement of facility rules to ensure guest comfort and safety.
• Strong ice-skating proficiency is mandatory for this role.

Nice To Haves

• Training provided for skate sharpening.

Responsibilities

• Distribute, collect, and organize rental skates and skate aids.
• Sharpen rental skates and inspect equipment for safety.
• Perform cleaning duties before, during, and after public sessions.
• Skate during public sessions to monitor guest behavior and enforce safety rules on and off the ice.
• Help clean facility spaces and assist the Skate Rental counter during peak times.
• Securely process cash and credit card transactions using the POS system.
• Prepare, cook, and serve food and beverages efficiently.
• Restock inventory and strictly follow all local food safety and sanitation guidelines.
